Address book empty in Outlook 2007

My address book in OUtlook 2007 is completely empty. I found the contents by going to Start > Accessories and see where I can import it, but I don't know how to do that. When I go to Import Address book (WAB), it takes me to My Documents and tells me Select Address Book File to Import From. There is nothing there but my personal files I've saved. What can I click to restore my addresses??

 

C:/Documents and Settings/USERNAME/Application Data/Microsoft/Address Book

Ok I found that and clicked on it. It showed that it was importing but my address book is still empty in Outlook. Where did that information go to then?? :cry

 

How many .wab file were in that directory? if more than one, did you try them all one at a time?

 

Yes, there were 2, and I tried them both. One showed information importing, the other didn't. But I still have an empty address book. ??

 

at this point the only thing i can think of is try to use a recovery program such as:
Recuva http://majorgeeks.com/Recuva_d5514.html

point it to the address book directory and hope that any previous files were not overwritten, otherwise i'm afraid they may gone, hopefully someone else has other solutions.

 

I found all my contacts when I looked under Start > Application > Address Book. So they're there, but I just can't figure out how to get them back into Outlook. I have about 55 addresses after I cleaned that out (under Application > Address book). So, I guess I'll be putting them all back in one by one. Oh, well. I appreciate your trying to help me on this. It was worth a try.
