    What operating system?
Could you elaborate on what you mean by Run As Admin logo, or post a screen shot?

These Windows Security Icons are part of User Account Control (UAC) management. Programs with this symbol cannot be run by non administrative accounts. Reason is these programs have a potential to make changes to other files, system configurations, and components. You need to have admin permission to run them.

    Sorry,
There is one thing i forgot to ask.
I have paid for an item called Atomic clock.Basically i chage the background colour of the standard clock just so it stands out a bit due to my eyesight.
I have noticed that it does not now work and thus shows the standard clock.
If i log into admin account its working fine and yellow like i have selected but not in my account.I think this is something to do with admin rights etc but not sure how to fix it so it works in my account ie yellow.
    Please advise

Could you possibly post a link to this atomic clock program?

Yes, I just looked at the theremotedr's logs and it's AtomicAlarmClock.
The major problem with that program is that it needs to inject into explorer.exe to modify the tray clock.
If you runas 'Administrator' it will run, but it will be on the wrong desktop.
You can use a third party tool to run it on your desktop, though that requires running it from the built-in Administrator account. I wouldn't recommend doing that for security reasons.
If you want to pursue this or are just curious, you'll find all the info at the following link.

    Hi,
    Yes that is the programme.
Somehow it done the same thing some 6 months ago but not sure what i did but it sorted it.
I was sure it had something to do with run as admin though.

It worked fine for all this time until sorting out the malware issue which has obviously deleted or removed an allowance right etc.

    Thanks _nullptr.
I use Free Desktop Clock - the basic version.
I did install Atomic Alarm Clock in Windows XP without any issues, but as you know, there was no UAC and other :crap to protect us roflmao

    theremotedr,
    You have 2 options.
    1. Turn off UAC - not recommended,
    2. Use this program and only turn off UAC for selected programs.

I use it for programs I know are safe.

If i turn off UAC and see what happens ?
If it then works ok what is UAC all about ?
Because if it then works when UAC is turned off and the clock then works that tells me that UAC was turned off before correct ?

UAC notifies you when a program changes system settings, deletes files, etc. If you use the program I sugested, you are safe. It creates a task to bypass UAC for each program you select.

    Example:
I don't want a UAC warning everytime I run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - I know the program is safe.

Atomic Alarm Clock changes the clock in the notification area, hence the UAC warning.

    Hi
Please send me a link for the clock you mention.

I never had a message EVER about the clock.
I still dont get any error.
The clock does not change the background to yellow and make the digits larger.
