administrator password problem

    hi i have administrator problems i got this computer in auction and cant get loged inthe guy who had this must have set password-in administrator login
    i have tryed to get in in safe mode but not able to is there some other way to get in

    If there is no password on the BIOS then you could remove the hard drive and format it, probably meaning you having to buy a new OS, then put it back in and install windows again.

    hi i could but there is programing softwear on this computer that i dont want to delete if i load another os will that get rid of info on the computer

    Sadly, since we will not help you crack the password, I suggest you either do as already suggested or install a new operating system. At least that way you are starting fresh without any issues that the previous owner may have had with the system. ( And yes, you will lose anything now on the computer.)

    There is tools to do it but we can't link you to them

    I'd suggest a fresh install as said by Tim

    If you really want the program you may be able to grab the files for it via a Linux live cd

    Explanation needed: Any new member whos first post is to bypass a password on a system leaves us in somewhat of a predicament in that the system could be stolen, lost, etc. Your situation may be legit, which I hope it is, but we would rather not take the risk of assisting a theft.

    With a sales receipt, you may be able to have Microsoft send you a set up disc for a clean install. :major
