Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do what you want to do. If you have a recovery CD/DVD, and there's nothing on the PC you want to save, you can just format and reload Windows. But if you want to save your stuff, then you'll have to do one of several things (I listed the easiest one first) :
    > Get your hands on a Winternals ERD Commander boot CD. As far as I know, they are no longer available in the retail market, so good luck; when ERD was available, it wasn't cheap. If you do get one, it has a 'Locksmith' tool that is really easy to use to reset admin passwords.
    > Use the link I posted earlier to download a file that you will use to create a boot CD. You will then boot to the CD, and by following the instructions detailed in the link above, you can reset the admin password.
    > Download and create the UBCD4Win. It has the 'Sala Password Renew' utility which will reset admin passwords. You will need a Windows XP disc in order to create the UBCD4Win (which stands for Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows).
I know of no other way to reset the password. If you don't luck out with the ERD Commander disc, then you will have to learn something. Here's a link for the UBCD4Win download (it's totally 100% free) http://www.majorgeeks.com/UBCD4Win_d5710.html and here's a link to the how-to-build-the-UBCD4Win instructions (print it out for reference) http://www.ubcd4win.com/howto.htm It looks hard, but if you have a Windows XP disc, it's really, really easy....

    Good luck!
