I have an administrator on my computer that's running Windows 7. However, it's not letting me delete some stuff that's in the Program Files folder. I know what I'm doing. How can I make it so that I have undisputed authority over my computer?

That is: How do I circumvent the idiot-proofness that is integrated into all of these new Microsoft Operating system.

What error message is preventing you from deleting the files?

It may just be that the files are in use.

The files are not in use.
The message is that I need permission from "TrustedInstaller" - whoever that is - to delete that file. If I was smart enough to install the operating system, I'm smart enough to do it again if I mess up. I just wish there was a setting on the OS that allowed you to switch from idiot-proof to super-pro.

a super-pro should be able to figure how to run as administrator

The problem lies not with the operating system but with the program, or the installer.

"TrustedInstaller" sounds a lot like a generic installer a lot of freeware or cheap programs use.
