Adobe 6.0 error message

    I downloaded and installed Adobe 6.0 from Adobe's website. When I clicked ont he icon to open the program, it gave me an error message:

    "Adobe 6.0 encountered a problem and needs to close."

    When I checked the details it gave me the following info:

    Appname: acrord32.exe
    Appver: 6.0.1.1091
    Modname: acrord32.exe
    Offset: 01828d9

    Any ideas as to why and how to fix this?

    Maybe got bad download, Uninstall and download again.

    Dina I had this exact problem when I upgraded from 5 to 6. I found that the problem was that when 6 loaded it did not entirely remove portions of 5 that had to be taken out. ASUS has hit it on the head....remove and re download/install. It worked for me.

    I just reformatted my hard drive so I know there is no other version. I will try your suggestion. Thanks
