    Some time ago I read a post about Acrobat. Somebody had listed all the files that you don't need, and can code out of the programme opening. Has anybody else heard of this?

    The reason Acrobat takes so long to start is because of all the plug-ins it loads, of which the vast majority aren't used by most people.

    The method you are talking about involves simply "moving" these plug-ins to another folder so Acrobat does not load them.

    However, when you update and/or repair Acrobat it will replace them, at least it did on mine.

    HERE are the steps required (It's for Reader, but similar), however, the easiest way by far is to use the programs linked above.

    Thanks, Halo, star17 and Insomniac. The Reader Speed-up is a lot easier than the re-programming I'd heard of.
