    Hello Folks,

I have a problem with AFP not working with IE 10 it is working fine in FireFox so I don't believe it is anything to do with my Anti Virus (Malwarebytes) settings. For this reason I also don't believe it has to do with my OS.

This has been happening for to long to do a System Restore w/o it being very cumbersome.

I have uninstalled the previous version, rebooted, downloaded the current version and gotten verification that it downed properly, rebooted and still nothing.

I have done all of the actions directed as far as setting the Active X settings in IE. I have also gone into the Registry and verified that the "Kill Bit" entry value was set to 0 as per instructions from Adobe. That link can be found here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/movies-dont-appear-browser-flash.html.

I have been battling this problem for the better of three days being a good German. It was time to come home and toss it in the ring. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just another note about this, I am getting the white screen with the boxed x in many sites. I hope this help to jog someone's memory.

I am the only user of this machine and always run as Administrator so I don't think this will work. I did check and I don't see this command showing.

Thanks for getting back to me:)

I'm sole user and Admin too, I see Run as administrator on the IE icons in the Start menu, try that.

I'm sorry I don't see this item in my start up menu either? I am feeling really dumb at this point, I guess loss is the right word.

Thanks again for getting back to me.

Start menu > All programs > Internet Explorer - right-click it and see if the Run as administrator option is there.

I looked and it was set to Run as administrator. I found the problem after much trial and error in the Internet Explorer Manage Add-ons. In the Toolbars and Extensions, Adobe Systems, I found the Shockwave Flash Object was disabled I enabled it. I then tested it in two areas and "yes" I have Active X. I have no clue how or why it was disabled.

I thank you for your time and expertise with this problem. I only hope this post saves someone all of the time I put in to this problem.

I forgot to mention to get to Manage Add-ons you most go to the Programs Tab.

Thank you Pwillener, I wish I had seen this sooner:) The first link explains exactly what I did to repair my problem in IE 10. The seconded link explains how to repair the problem in IE 9.

Thank you for sharing this for anyone that may find this post, the Adobe site explains it much better than I:)
