I have read your previous posts on Adobe PhotoDelux 4 and I am experienceing similar problems. I upgraded my computer memory (E-machine T 6410) from 512 be adding on two sticks of 512 bringing total memory to 1536. I haven't used the APD4 in a while but I tried to bring it up a few days ago and It wouldn't start. After reading your forum I tried the compability mode that one thread suggested and no change. I had a dialogue box that gave the message on a pul dill file using the W98 setting but program was not coming up just dark brown screen that wouldnt let me exit unless I rebooted computer. I also tried to increase viritual page setting suggested in your forum. Now the program comes up about 75% and I get a dialogue that says "could not initalize adobe photodelux because file is locked. Use file mgr to turn off the read-only option." I've checked and unchecked the read file but no change. Any suggestions? I have used this program on my W98 computer and installed it on the E-machine but evidently adding the extra memory has caused problems Thanks.

stumbeled across solution to problem. I still had my old W98 machine avail so went there and made a Anniv. Card saved it to Jump Drive copied it to my E-Machine T6410 and now the program works! For some reason the orginal disc with PD4 must be corrupted. Anyway it now works. Hyperlite Thanks for the use of your forum.
