    Happy after Christmas day everyone.

I went into Adobe Photoshop to work with some pictures today and I got the error listed in the title. I have a vague idea how this works, but I do not know how to stop my system from storing these items in my virtual memory. I would like to make it so that Adobe dumps everything when I close the program. Anyone know of a way to do this automatically?

I have been to that site and none of the recommendations work. Thank you for the assist though. I think I may compressed all of my files, which Adobe says will screw up how it reads memory. Going for the uninstall/reinstall treatment.

How much free HD space do you have, also do you have a 2nd HD installed?

Which version of PS are you using? I have always followed the golden rule of not having the scratch disk on the same HD or Partition as the windows swap file, if you have that option?

What size have you set the Scratch Disk too?

You can also set the History States from the default 20 to a lower figure as this also help ( what your changing is the undo history so a lower figure means you can only revert back so many steps )

another tip is that you can Purge the Clipboard, History or all the temp locations by going to Edit > Purge.

Hard Drive space is 80Gb, and I had over 60 Gbs available at the time. Also have 1 Gb of RAM that it is supposed to use 75% of before using other memory. I also determined that I had compressed my drive at some point along the way and Adobe does not know how to read the memory properly when it is compressed.
I decided to reformat and set up another partition just for PhotoDeluxe. I allotted 10Gbs to that partition which should be plenty for it to work with. I will definitely try the History States and Purge fixes if I still have problems after this attempt. My apologies for the misnomer, I am using PhotoDeluxe version 4.0. I will be updating as soon as possible, if one is available on the web.

    Thanks for the help bro.:)

Which is it, are you using Photo Shop as in the Title of this thread. OR. PhotoDeluxe. Two different applications.

I have corrected the issue by setting up another partition for Adobe to use. I figure 10Gb should be plenty for it.:)
