I use Adobe Acrobat Reader everday to open specification files. They can be quite large at times. Adobe version 8 seems to run slow in downloading the files, then just before the files open, a dialog box comes up saying, "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please exit reader and try again" Weird part is, I click "OK" and the pages start to load. This is maddening. :D:confused It is too slow and I do not know what is slowing it down or what this message means..?? I have deleted the program and done a clean install, same issue.
WIN XP operating syst. Plenty of memory. Any clues?

Maybe a Firewall or Security Suite setting. What anti-virus/firewall do you have installed?

I am going to try Foxit reader if this works satisfactorily, I will continue. If not I will do the clean unistall as you suggested. Thank you kindly for your response.
