My PDF Files do not show the Adobe icons like they used to even though
double clicking on them still brings up Adobe Reader. How do I get the icons to
come back? I use Adobe Reader 6.0.6 on a HP/Win Me computer. Using "Open
With" does not bring them back.

Reinstall Adobe and\or check for updates.

Here's what I did (my OS is Vista): right click on a pdf file that has no icon then choose Properties at the bottom then a box will pop out- under General there's Type of file: Opens with: click Change then choose Adobe. All the other pdf file icons came on again.

Another way is to download the now unsupported |MG| Tweak UI and use this to rebuild the icon cache...
