Adobe Substitute

    Greetings,
    I wondered if there is another pdf reader program (NOT ADOBE READER)that is as reliable and won't hose the registry when needing to be removed or upgraded. I've work for months trying to take off all the piece of old Adobe files. I can't remove them and it won't let me download the new Adobe 8 due to the old existing files (catch 22). So, I'm shopping for something that will work as well and is shareware / free to download. Would appreciate any wisdom from the troops in the trenches. Windows XP OS and IE7.
