Advanced Systemcare won't open

I have version 8 of Advanced SystemCare on a 64 bit Windows 7 HP SP1 PC. I have it pinned to my taskbar. When I click on it it won't open. I've also tried clicking on Start then clicking on the AdvancedSystemCare folder in start menu and then both clicking on the Advanced SystemCare and right clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator. None of these methods will cause it to open.

What might be causing this problem? How can I solve it?

No, I have not but I shall try that solution.

 

Today, I thought I shall unistall ASC, download it again and re-install it. Prior to doing that I thought there will be no harm seeing if ASC will open. I clicked on its icon in Taskbar and lo and behold (very seasonal expression) it opened. So, I have absolutely no idea why it would not open the other day!
