Advanced WindowsCare V2

    I recently updated my Advanced WindowsCare V2 to the latest version. When I run it I get the pop up shown in the first thumbnail.

    I tried to use RegSvr32 to register the ntdll.dll file and I got the pop up shown in the second thumbnail.

    I have no idea what the PView is and can't seem to locate anything about it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Additionally I checked the properties of the ntdll.dll files in C:\WINNT\system32 and in C:\WINNT\system32\dllcache. Although they are the same version there is a difference in the bytes in the Size on disk:

    Can anyone help me with this?

    Version 3 is still in beta. If you are running v3, that might be the problem.

    The first popup says v2 so I'm not exactly sure what version you are running. If you are running v3, you must uninstall v2 before you install v3 so maybe that's why you get a v2 popup.

    As far as the 2nd popup, the ntdll, everything is fine. I just checked my main 2K computer, I have the same sizes and my modified date matches yours so I suspect a Windows update modified this.

    The next set of pictures is also fine NTLDLL is NOT the same file as ntdll. You will note that they are in different locations.

    As plodr stated, V3 is still in BETA. In fact a new v3 BETA was released today. Go to www.majorgeeks.com for it. I am still using V2 and will continue doing so until the final V3 is released. Bazza

    No, I'm using V2. I guess I should have made it more clear, I had just updated my version to Version 2.7.2.850.

    I was curious about the phrase; "Consider using PView to detect and remove it." on the thumbnail of RegSrv32. I can't find the PView anywhere. Can anyone clarify or point me in the right direction?

    I agree bigbazza I don't like using Beta's. I'll wait.
