    Hi folks

I'm planning to sell some of my hard-drives but am aware that I need to erase all the inforamtion from them.

I've also been made aware that even when you remaster a hard-drive, the information is still potentially able to be recovered.

A colleage told me that using a "data-whipping" software was the best way forward and stated that this type of software either encrypted the erased information, or removed them all together.

I would be most grateful if someone could advise me regarding which software would be most suited to this task. Im running windows 7 presesntly and the hard drives are all IDE cabeld one's.

    Many thanks !
