Advice on Xbox games

Howdy y'all.
I'm looking for some advice on Xbox games.
There are some similar games that I am interested in, but I want to know what others may think.

For example:
What's better? Amped 2 or SSX 3?

For shooting games... which is/are the best? Counter Strike, MOH Rising Sun, RainbowSix 3, Rogue Ops... XIII?

Splinter Cell or Splinter Cell 2?

Max Payne 2 or True Crime: Streets of LA?

There's some others I have my mind made up on (either way)... but I was just wondering what some hardcore gamers thought... also, if you have any faves, feel free to add 'em.

I can't wait to get my hands on Thief 3!!

 

They are very different games. If you like "realism" go with Amped 2, but if you like doing crazy insane things that are completely impossible then go with SSX3.

I personally hated splinter and haven't tried the second one.

Streets of LA but they are both good games imo.

Don't leave out Halo or Halo 2 when it comes out (Nov. 3?)

 

Yeah, they're a given.
So's KOTOR... as are a few others.
What about racing games?

Midnight Club 2, NFS: Underground, Project Gotham 2, TOCA Race Driver 2?
The only one I've tried is PG2, just the demo at a store, but it seemed pretty wicked.

Also... are MotoGP / GP2, MTX Mototrax any good?

 

I wasn't too impressed with midnight club 2 but Loved Project Gotham 1 and 2, not sure about themoto games

Splinter Cell 2 Rocks... Especally If You Have Live!!!

 

moto gp2 is a very fun game. Great online or off line....not sure how much different it is from the first one because I only played the demo that came with xbox live for the first one but from what I have seen both are good. Also burnout 2 is good.

 

Midnight Club 2 was fun for like the frist hour, after that... same thing and boring. but there are some cool cheats out so could be fun to just rent for a weekend and play. But its not a game for buying.
i bought splinter cell since it had all those great reviews, but cant seems to get into it as well. still rather pull out my rainbow six 3 = P.

 

this thread is a little ways back but i think ill bring it back up to the surface
racing: underground, i love that game i have played it a couple times through
my new personal favorite game is ninja gaiden, bought it 2 days ago and have spent 15 hours of that playing it, great game if your looking for a challenge
the suffering is also a good game

 

Ninja Gaiden, eh? I hear it's hard to get the hang of... better third person than first, though.

I like Gladius... I don't know what it classifies as... fighting/rpg/strategy? I love my xbox, but I think we need more strategy games. They're my favorite.

Also, call me crazy, but I think they should hook us up with City of Heroes for xbox... I think it'd be totally doable, via xbox live, but I'm not really familiar with how that works. I do know City of Heroes is AWESOME. and it doesn't seem like the controls are so complicated they couldn't be adapted to the console controller realm...

 

yeah ninja gaiden is hard to get used to, and the gameplay even on normal is quite hard but its awesome, im playing it on hard now and it's harder then heck

 

Ninja Gaiden is awesome. I love the gameplay and how it is so fluid. best ninja game to date I think. Only thing it lacks is multiplayer ,which tenchu has, but Ninja Gaiden is still way above Tenchu in my list.

I'm pretty sure they could do it if they wanted to. City of Heroes reminds me of Phantasy Star Online in some perspectives because I feel like the controls are similar, even though PSO was a console game and was originally for Dreamcast, then GameCube, and then XBox. So if they can bring PSO to the XBox for XBox Online, then I don't see why not COH.
