advice please ssd

    i have a p45t-es3g from gigabyte
    q9500
    16g ddr3
    win7 home prem. SP1
    (my trim service is enabled)
    whats is the best method for putting a ssd for my os, i run most everything else off of usb externals but i want a dependable and quick platform for win 7
    what is the best way?

    Not exactly sure what you mean... forgive me but it appears straight forward. UNLESS you mean something like this;

    1) Buy a new SSD that is 30 GB atleast, perferrably larger. (approx 40 GB and bigger is better)
    2) Install SSD into your computer and see if BIOS (or windows) picks it up.
    3) Follow these instructions, including all advice for METHOD THREE
    4) After you are booted to your SSD, format your old system partition. :)

    ^-- Of course, that is the BEST method but not the most conventional. The conventional and more common method would be to simply install the SSD and then install Win 7 to it; granted, this means all previously installed programs would need to be installed again. If there is something else on your mind just let me know.
