   Does anyone have any suggestions on protecting oneself from an Adware such as "Storm Alerts". It's hard as heck to remove once it invades your PC.
   I'm hearing Anti-Virus software doesn't have much effect. What about this MalWareBytes Pro?

   I run Malwarebytes pro. When I went to install something, it popped up an alert about a PUP (potentially unwanted program) so I feel it helps protect me.
   
   There is also a program called Unchecky which unchecks the the extra items so junk/bundleware doesn't install.
