AFLASH BIOS update tool question

I downloaded AFLASH ver 2.21 from ASUS to update my BIOS on an A7A266-E motherboard. The instructions on the website tell me to select the following menu option

2. Update BIOS Including Boot Block and ESCD

but when I run AFLASH the menu option I get is

2. Update BIOS Without Boot Block and ESCD

There are no other options apart from 'Save current BIOS'. Has anyone come across this before? Is this an issue with the AFLASH program or specific to my system. Does it matter? I searched the ASUS website but found nothing.
