after effects won't open

I just reinstalled after effects and whenever i click on it to open it, it will never show up, can anyone help me out with this

do you get 'any' error messages at all?

 

nope nothing at all

 

hmm, ok - try it again, but this time open up a taskmanager window first

eg: right clicking on your task bar at the bottom - and select it.

then if you change it to the processes tab you will see whether or not it actually starts the process at all - but is just not starting the program.

well, to be honest mate - thats only a quarter of your task manager - see teh scroll bar? is it possible you've missed it?

 

no it has after effects on there, its the 6th one down

 

ok it says I have to have 2 GB of Ram, but i only have 1 GB. could this be the reason it's not working
