After formatting Dell can't connect to internet

    I just formatted my Dell Dimension 5150. And now i have issues with the drivers.
    My PC is quite old, and therefore the CD with the drivers is nowhere to be found.

    So i started to download drivers from my laptop, and then transfer them by usb.
    But when i press, the dell-driver-icon, windows says that it can't locate the file, and I have 2 options. 1 look for a run-program online, or via a list.
    Since it should be a self-run app, I have no idea what to do.

    There is no internet-connection and i just installed service pack 2 (xp home edition)

    Hi

    I take it you didnt use any restore disk or partition from Dell to re-install but a normal retail version of Windows XP SP2?


    Are you downloading the drivers direct from Dell Support site HERE?

    Download the Chipset one first and transfer to the desktop of your desktop the file (know you may hav edone this already but humour me), dont leave it on the USB pen, then double click it and if it errors when running tell us the exact error message, if no error on installing reboot and start installing the other drivers.

    how do i work around - the dell download manager?. This is probably the issues, is their any way i can just obtain the relevant drivers without using the manager?
    when i try to open a driver - it just says - please download the manager, and afterwards when i enter the driver it says "no files to download - go to drivers and downloads "and shuts down

    i have found a solution to my last question - im currently installing the chipset driver what do i do next?

    You need to install all the other drivers from the Dell website that are relevant to your system.
