After installing Firefox 3.6, Add-ons shows 6 instances of Java Console

Is this normal? I did not have all those in FF 3.5.8. In fact, I either none or only 1 in FF 3.5.8. If this is normal, why are they all necessary?

Perhaps I should mention, I also installed a "persona" right after installing FF 3.6.

This is what my Add-ons screen shows:

I disabled all the Java Consoles as a test to see whether that would have any affect on Firefox, especially the persona I installed. It did not. But, I'm thinking the viewing of various personas before choosing one is what's behind this. And, perhaps once one is installed, the Java Console is no longer needed.

Thanks for posting that link. I haven't tried the suggestion posted there by Paul yet. Instead, I simply uninstalled each of the Java Console entries via the Firefox Add-ons screen (screen shot in my previous post). So far, it has not re-occurred as I thought it would, based on the discussion at the link you posted.

However, if I discover that Java Console mysteriously appears again, I'll try that technique. I was reluctant to use that technique because I presume it will remove all extensions, not just the Java Console one.
