I have a Latitude LS that runs unbearably slow after Windows loads. I have painstakingly (takes forever to move the cursor from one side of the screen to the other) checked the hardware devices and saw that there were no driver issues. I hooked a USB floppy up to the laptop and tried to load the drivers via my CD-Rom and all of a sudden my laptop was running at regular speed (while it loaded the driver). Then it went back to molasses again. I did a new install of the OS to see if that would fix the problem...it didn't. Any ideas? BIOS update? Could an outdated BIOS cause these kinds of problems?
