After xp repair the sound is not working

Hi guys! My PC couldn't start the windows so we repaired it using the Windows installation CD. Now everything is back to normal except that the sound is not working at all. I get no errors. K-lite didn't find anything wrong. What should I do to fix it? I attach an everest report. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi

Download the Chipset System Drivers from HERE (ATI System Drivers for 7xx/8xx/SB7xx/SB8xx Series (except RS690, 740)) install and reboot.

Then download this Microsoft UAA driver from HERE (this allows non SP3 Windows XP PCs to run High Def Audio) and install.

Next Download the Audio driver from HERE (Realtek High Definition Audio Driver) and install.

Reboot and check Audio.

Do please mention any devices in Device Manager that have yellow ! marks by them.

Hi again and thanks for the prompt reply . I'm currently downloading all the stuff you referenced.

There is indeed a device with a questionmark. It's in "Other Devices" category and it's named "SM Bus Controller"

The SM controller will most likely be loaded with the driver pack...

Yes the SMBus controller should be in the System Drivers pack download.
