Age of Mythology

Well anytime I join an online game and the game launches it'll freeze. And when it freezes my whole computer goes with it so I need to restart.... I've tried disabling firewall and antivirus with the same problem. It doesn't matter if I host or if someone else does either.

I have a pentium 4 1.6 Ghz with 256 Ram and a cable connection also a 64 mb graphics card. It could be better but it's past the system requirements.

not that ahybody would and I don't play that game, but are you using a copy of the game or a "No CD" fixed .exe??
because those kind of problems can result from that

which firewall? I have Zonealarm and I have to shut it down (not just disable) when I play online.....

 

Uhh mine is 100% legit...and uhh I use zonealarm but I disabled it.

Well I reinstalled it, checked the site and updated it, well this is online, you can't play without the latest version..

Reinstall/repair DX. sounds like your Direct play is fubared

Shut down any background crap, MSN ect.

Also go into your video card prop. and kill v-sync, smooth vision, true form ect.

 

Yeah I do clean boots and how would I go into my video card prop.?
