Hello- This pc is running Windows XP Professional x86 SP3. I was nosing around in Device Manager and came across something that just appeared out of nowhere.
In Network Adapters, the Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast ethernet NIC appears as it should. Below this, there are 2 devices that should NOT be there, and I can not get rid of them. They have yellow exclamation points in front of them.
    They are:
!Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast ethernet NIC AGNITUM FIREWALL MINI PORT
    and
!WAN miniport(IP) AGNITUM FIREWALL MINI PORT

Where did this Agnitum stuff come from?... I don't use the Windows firewall, but use the firewall that is integrated into my avast! Internet Security AV suite.

Could someone please explain this to me, and help me get rid of this Agnitum firewall mini port stuff?... Thanks a bunch!
    PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENT!

It would appear that Agnitum have licensed their firewall to Avast and this is the firewall Avast includes in it's software. The miniports are virtual network adapters installed into the operating system to allow the firewall to function.

As long as the firewall is working correctly I wouldn't worry about this fault.
