I have a SIS Chipset mainboard, with an 8x AGP Port, also has onboard video, 661G or something chipset from memory.

With the AGP port do you recommend using the chipset drivers, aka mine is SIS AGP Gart, the thing is SIS havent updated the driver for my AGP Port since 2003, for all boards...

Does windows XP Pro SP2 have an AGP driver, if so is that better and should I de-install the SIS AGP Gart driver?

    Sincearly,

Windows only has generic drivers, so that the hardware will be recognized and work until an optimized driver is installed.

The Chipset AGP GART drive is the optimized version, and will provide the full design features and better performance.

If a driver is available from the manufaturer of a product, its pretty safe to assume that it will perform better than the Generic Windows driver. :)
