Ahci with XP

Hi
My pc specs are
I3 Intel
Asus P8H61 M/B
8 Gig of ram
Running windows 7 Ult
I needed to put a another hdd in to run Windows XP, so because I had my M/b set to Ahci mode I Slip-streamed the Ahci drivers into my installation disc, It all loaded fine and I done all the updates including Sp3, the problem is when I start up from the XP Hdd it does not see my original drive. But when i start up from the Windows 7 Hdd that one sees the XP Hdd.
Can anyone help?? Do i need some other drivers for xp to see the win 7??

XP won't "see" a later version of Windows. If you run programs in compatibility mode in XP, it's for earlier versions of Windows — like Windows '98. I'm sure you'll find the same is true if you install Windows 7 and Windows 8 side-by-side that Windows 7 won't "see" Windows 8.

Thank you for your quick response, it is not the fact that i dose not see win 7 it is the fact that it does not see the other Hard drive at all in Xp ( My computer)

Is XP fully updated, SP3 +? What size is the W7 HDD?

Can you attach a screenshot of Disk Management showing the status/properties of your hard drives from within XP?

The win 7 Hdd is 500gig, and the XP hdd is 200gig
And Xp is fully up to date including Sp3

I am sorry Mdonah, maybe I did not explain my problem properly,
I have two Hard drives in my PC one is 500gig and has windows 7 installed
The other is 200gig, I made a slipstreamed XP install disc with the AHCI drivers,
So I have XP running in AHCI mode and win 7 in AHCI mode,
The problem is when I start up from the XP Hard drive it does not see the 500gig windows 7 Hard drive
But when I start up from the windows 7 Hard drive that one sees the 200gig XP Hard drive

Ah, so it's a GPT/UEFI issue.

If XP is x86 (32-bit), it looks like you're out of luck, no read/write access: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPT_Disk#Windows:_32-bit_versions
