I am looking to add a customer service section to my website. i would like offer live chat and use aim as my chat client to respond to users.

Does anyone know of a way that i can do this?

The problem with that is that they have to also have a registered AIM screen name, and I don't even think that a web client exists, except for AIM express (link: http://www.aim.com/get_aim/express/aim_expr.adp)

The only thing I can think of is an IRC applet, but everyone needing help wouldn't have an individual chat room, they would all be in the same one.
