AIM icon in tray

    So, when I logged onto AIM today, it made a strange noise kind of like an arrow being shot and the icon in my tray keeps flashing normal and then like this:

    It's behaving slightly oddly and I can't work out the reason for this or why the icon in the tray is flashing like that.

    Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

    I dont use AIM, but what I would do is to look in the options menu and look for anything that would be an alert or update ( Stock or News tickers are one common update alert ) or their may even be an option to turn off the flashy icon.

    Go to Prefs. Then go to Mail. Uncheck "Display alert tray icon". And then click sounds, and you can uncheck the sounds that play.
