aim ram usage

is there a way to decrease aim's use of ram? i'm on a gig of pc3200 ram and aim is jacking over 28k of it...any ideas?

 

Probably not...
All the new aim features and products that you run need to use something!
More functionality= more resource usage.

Im not that familiar with it though!

um i unistalled aim a few months ago will this tool get rid of all the aol crap i mifght have left after the unistall

 

Moumantai, I would give the AOL cleaner a strong 'probably' , but
to finish the job, I would download CCleaner from here:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4191.html
and let it clean up your "issues."

how do you do the issues thing

 

Just open and run your CCleaner like normal, then click on "issues", right below the "cleaner" button. Note the chart to the right of the "issues" button; everything should have a check mark. Then click 'scan for issues'. It'll probably bring up lots of disjointed crap from previous un-installs. Then click 'fix selected issues'.
*It will ask if you want to back up before fixing...click yes* (just in case, you know...)
Then just let it remove the crap. You may have to run it 2-3 times till it comes completely clean. It'll do a good job.

i use it almost weekly, never did a backup, am very confident of ccleaner. ed
