airsnare upgrade to 1.5

I upgraded my airsnare to version 1.5 because I added a new bridge to my home network. Prior to this airsnare was working fine on my W2K Pro platform. Now whenever I try to launch airsnare I get an error message Run-time error '-2147220992 (80040200)': Failed to load winpcap packet.dll. Please (re)install the winpcap packet capture libraries. No solution available. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. When the install runs is says WinPcap 3.1 is installed on the machine even if I've uninstalled it. So I've followed airsnare's advice and downloaded the WinPcap 3.1 installer directly and installed in that manner. Still the same error. Airsnare says it is an easy fix but I can't fix it. I've googled and searched everywhere I can think of but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas or a program I can use instead of airsnare. Ethereal installs with airsnare and it works fine including measuring data packets, etc. so I think WinPcap is there and working but airsnare doesn't recognize it?
