When Alabama athletic director Mal Moore said "We will be patient and search for a new coach" I guess his definition "wait" and "patience" is different than mine. I expected at least a few months before they jumped in and offered the job but it appears he already had someone in mind.

Personally, I think Mal Moore should be fired too because it's not just "one" person who makes the difference.

Won't get you squat in recruiting if you try and sign kids when they have no idea who the coach will be.

Besides, Rodriguez turned them down so I guess it's all moot...right now.

edit: I just read the school offered Nick Saban $57 million over 10 years to coach before the Rodriguez offer. $57 million for a football coach? That's a microcosm of what's terribly wrong with sports these days.

Yeah, that was a disappointment because he is a great coach but I kind of expected him to stay at WV.

That's insane, I mean it's just football, a game. I mean doctor's who save lives doesn't get that much.
