alarm stereo

I like waking up to some deep base music, that you can feel in your soul.
but I have to wake up and turn on my stereo for this to happen..
things have changed and the aforementioned stereo is gone
so I neeed a new stereo with a ton of bass....and a timer....so it can get me up....I have no idea what to get...
please give me some ideas
no price range, its gonna be given for a Bday gift,l so just not crazy money,but not a cd player with an electric timer, either

Buy the stereo you want and make sure it has an IR (Infra-Red) remote and then get one of these to turn on your stereo when you want it. It's line-of-sight, so it must be pointed toward your stereo.

Hi handygal,

I used to have one of these units and used it to turn on my television as an alarm clock, tune to a certain channel at 5AM then tune to a different channel at 6AM and finally turn the TV off when it was time to go to work. All fully programmable.

Since I've found these units again I'll be using this.

 

so I can do what with that remote? Im not seeing easy to read directions anywhere
