Alcohol 120% Installation Problems

I had the trial version of Alcohol installed and decided to upgrade to the full version. I uninstalled the Trial Version because the full version was not letting me start it. I installed the full went to install the full version and it gives me the following message during the installation:

Error 25002. Some driver has invalid invalid name or conflicts with other file or system in service. Please choose different driver names or make sure you have rebooted after removal of software using the same names.

(Yes, I have rebooted.)

Please help, I really need to get to my .mdf files!!!

 

try a registry cleaner to remove the traces of the old alcohol 120% trial version. I recommend RegSupreme http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4001.html

also, make sure you dont have any uneeded services running when you attempt an install.

This should remove everything and let you install:

You should always uninstall Alcohol from program files Alcohol uninstall as this gives you the opportunity to remove registry entry's, add remove programs does not do this, hence your error message.

If you recieve this Error or if the Installation is stopped due to Error 25002
Then please start Regedit then go to HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services here you should fínd the Keys for the Alcohol Driver in the current Version 1.9.2.1705 a347bus and a347scsi,

You also need to delete these Keys and remove the corresponding files from Windows\System32\Drivers folder, reboot your Computer and reinstall. It should now install without any problems.
