Almost completed .wav file

I could use some help completing my .wav file script. I found the program wav.exe. from

I've created the shortcut and used

"C:\WAV.EXE c:\mywave.wav /Q"

and then I right clicked the shortcut, Properites>Shortcut>Run: and selected "minimized".
I still get the command prompt popping up in the taskbar. Is there a way to completely hide any window that pops up? What commands or arguments am I missing. Thank you in advance for your response.
