alright everyone!!

hi there to all just joined to see if someone out there can help me as i'm not as computer literate as i should be!! Can someone please help, me and the wife have just bought a compaq presario sr5109(probably not as good as all yours!!) just to start us off with. I got it home but i cant figure out if its ok or not. The problem is i have no sound at all apart from the warning beeps and buzzes that are on all pc's. Has anyone had this problem before or is it just the spec of the pc? Do i need to do anything to it to get sound? Thanks for listening! Tony

To start at the beginning - do you have any speakers plugged into it ?

You may be using the wrong speakers. You probably need speakers that use their own power source (if you are not already using them)
