Oh boy what just happened here?

I was working on Ubuntu 16.04 searching for how to speed up a slow Ubuntu, when I ran into this command:
    Alt + SysRq + REISUB

So I thought well it won't hurt to try it out, little did I know that the computer can not restart after that

It says something about INIT not working or disabled, Ubuntu doesn't start, not even recovery

I'm on Ubuntu live USB right now

    Thanks,

    :)

I did not find the answer in said link, it only tells you how to use Magic-SysRq and re enable it.

my Ubuntu broke down after the abrupt reset, after GRUB menu it doesn't restart.

I can try it again to write down the details, I just noticed that it said INIT not working

however , I have access to both 24gb ubuntu OS media and 306gb storage media with live USB

I tried to do another restart and wrote down some of it...

    Failed to execute /init (error-8)
Starting init: /bin/sh exists but couldn't execute it (error-8)
Kernel panic - not syncing: no working init found
Try passing init = option to kernel, see Linux documentation/init.txt for guidance.
    Kernel offset: disabled

    Thanks,

    :)

Sorry about the bumping it is totally not international I can assure you...

I thought that I would be able to fix the problem (with the help of MG's) like copy - paste the startup files from the Live USB to the OS... see? brilliant right!

then I was reading another forum where someone said "...I had a separate /home partition." when it suddenly struck me, that's what I have, no need to worry about losing any personal data...

Like I said, I have a 24gig separate OS partition and a 306gig personal data volume.

Maybe someone would volunteer to guide me through the process?

    Thanks,

    :)
