My keyboard shortcut of Alt+Tab no longer works. Tried re-installing XP - No difference.
    What am I missing here?

Well, there just doesn't seem to be an answer there specifically for alt+tab. Now I am noticing that anything with the alt button seems to be out of whack. Is there anyway to test a faulty keyboard button? Thanks

Right-click on a shortcut on your dekstop, then 'Properties' then click on the 'Shortcut key' line once next to where the default value would be 'none' as cursor starts blinking hit the ALT key then it should change and look like the attached image....hope it helps. ;)

It's not letting me do that. When I attempt to make a shortcut the cursor doesn't budge. :(

Attempt to make a short cut? Didn't you have any existing shortcuts on your desktop already?
Ok, let's try something much simpler:

As you are reading this you have at least your browser open, right?
Let's assume you are using Internet Explorer:
Hold down the ALT key and as you are holding down the ALT key press F4 key.

    What did happen?

~ If ALT key worked, you'd have to open your browser and come back to this thread.
Instead it only opened up your Favorites Bar on the left of the browser then it is your keyboard's ALT that is not working for some reason.

    Hi,

The alt button doesn't work at all. Neither does the END button. I'm wondering if it isn't a virus or trojan or more simply - the keyboard itself. It's pretty new, nothing spilled on it - it dangled a while from its chord about a week ago. I checked all the other possibilities. Last resort is to try my sys with a different kb and see what happens.

    Thanks.

    :)
