Alternative to Winspector Spy

I know that Winspector Spy is supposed to be the better alternative to MSVC's Spy++ but i want a better alternative to Winspector Spy!
Here are a few things i see wrong with Winspector Spy:

• When using the "click and drag" selection, the Winspector window doesn't hide, so it's virtually impossible to select any windows behind it
• You can't (as far as i know) send messages to the window you are monitoring
• Scrolling in the message window in broken
• Not very good search feature. Can only find windows by class, not by title or other attributes
• Not many options
• It is still in beta, version 1.0

I have googled for alternatives but it appears that Winspector Spy is the alternative. Does anyone know of a similar, free, program that is better or at least better maintained (then at least i can expect it to improve).

I am also looking for an alternative to Winspector Spy.

In particular, I find Winspector useless in the particular case of trying to set its filter to dispaly on WM_COMMAND messages. Instead, it keeps displaying 'WM_USER + 7174' messages.

If you know how to find out what the PostMessage parameters are for "Select All" on Firefox, or which Winspector alternative can find it, I would appreciate sharing here the tips.

I don't know if you realise but this thread is over 6 months old! Now there *is* an alternative to Winspector Spy, Window Detective/ (look at who made it ). It is still no where near as good as Winspector, but it will quickly improve. It already has some features that Winspector does not have.

Sorry, i don't know what you mean about parameters for "Select All".
