    Hey,
I'm on my parent's PC and whenever I reboot it I get this error pop-up when the PC boots....I click 'OK' and it seems to have no adverse affects...it just goes away...I have tried some Reg. Cleaners but it doesn't seem to get rid of th eproblem...any ideas?
    The error is posted below:

    The image contains the text:
    Error loading EGCOMLIB_1034.dll
The specified module could not be found.

According to this website, it looks as if a dialer has found it's way on to your computer. Good luck getting rid of it.

Good research but terrible help

Fiver have you scanned with an up-to-date antivirus, and Adaware/Spybot lately?

My parents' PC does have up to date anti-virus, and both Adaware and Spybot S&D are up to date...they don't seem to find any problems though.
    Thanks for the replies.
    Any other ideas?

It could very well be the dialer is removed, yet the run registry key is not.

See if you can locate it in msconfig.

Thanks for the info: is there a specific way to search for the key?
It doesn't appear under Services or Startup. Might I find it in the registry somehow?
    (Thanks again)

In msconfig, under the startup tab, look at the commands the startup items are calling.

See if you can find which one is calling that exe.

At the risk of offering more "terrible help", if you click on the link I originally posted, the website tells you were the .dll should have been deposited, and also says where the key is located within the registry. If you're not familiar with the registry editor, I strongly advise you to read up on it (and do a backup) before "jumping in". Deleting the wrong thing can turn your computer in to a very expensive paperweight.

This website would be a good place to start if you need to learn about the registry editor.
