Am being restricted

Hi everyone, I am Val, i have not been back here in quite some time. Actually, I have been here various times, but I did not know what to do, which link to use to enter, and if I was allowed to post at all. But I am finally here. As of recent, I am unable to use the link for internet explorer on my desktop. I get error message that I do not have permission to use it. I am sole user on my machine, and am the administrator, or so I thought. I do not know if my provider, QWEST or Microsoft is setting the restrictions. before, I was using Dial-A-Fix,and could see two restrictions on explorer, and one for task manager. Which I could remove by antementioned dialafix. Now, I cannot even open internet explorer. Last night, and this morning, I tried reinstalling BITS with dial-a-fix and got an instant microsoft error reporting screen,and a small one from fix, unable to fix, as i retried, I got A "SYSTEM SHUTDOWN"screen, three imes my pc was shut down aginst my choice, and once again this morning. i am an old man, and i am being restricted and have my own pc controlled. Do not know what to do, or who to turn to. AM Lost.
Thank You dear ones. I even tried safemode last night, wihout networking, and it really generated microsoft error reporting, and internet explorer tried to start while in safemode. website links onDial-A-Fix tell me I have no permission to access websites.??? Forgive spelling errors. VALDE

 

Do you think you can get us the exact wording of the error message? We may able to help you better/faster.

Alot of times, when one is restricted from the use of thier own machine, in your case Internet Explorer, or Task Manger its a result of malware at play because they restrict access to make it harder to remove. I can not see your service provider or Microsoft for that matter limiting you in these two areas. Please follow Read and Run Me and post the results of the scans in a new post in the malware forum.

You may not be infected with malware but atleast this way you can rule it out as the problem.
