   Hi guys, this is my first post here.
   
   I wanted to ask if I'm in the clear with a virus I had.
   Bascially, it was fake antivirus that told me that google was a virus site and gave me fake BSODs. I panic reformatted my computer and fresh installed Windows 7. Am I rid of this virus or should I still be concerned?

   We would not know without checking your computer for malware. Many infections can survive a format. And also some people format their PCs and then reinstall the infection from backup files that were infected.
