    I have a AMD Athlon 1700+
    A7N8X2.0 Motherboard
    1GB DDR 3200 Crucial Memory

What do I need to tweak in the bios to make it a 2400+ Processor???

First off if you don't have sufficient cooling, then its NOT going to make it to 2400+ speeds. Ive got a 2600+ that makes it to 3000+ speeds with a case mod (a fan pulling air from the room directly onto the cpu heatsink).

Anyways, go into your BIOS, and choose user defined on the settings that are labelled "auto", then start raising your FSB. You can raise your multiplier but your FSB will need to be lowered probably. Just as long as your temperatures are reasonably LOW. My temps idle is 36C. the 30C area should be EXCELLEnt for your computer.
