AMD Athlon

    If i wanted to upgrade to a AMD Athlon, what would i neeed?

    This should have been in the hardware forum, but dont worry about it. Im sure one of the mods will move it.

    Well, you would need a new motherboard for sure. Depending on what processor you have now, you might also need new memory.

    A little more more info on your current computer, and what you plan to upgrade to is needed to make any further suggestions.

    Agreed. If you're currently running a Duron, you could probably get a sub 2500+ processor as an upgrade, but thats completley uncertain.

    Depends on what model you're thinking of

    If you're currently on an Intel setup, you're gunna have to swap out the motherboard and probably ram too (if you want a decent performance gain).

    But yeah, I can't get any more specific without out any specifics ;)
