AMD Drivers

    Could someone please point me in the direction of the drivers for AMD Athlon XP 2200+ and 1600+? For Windows XP. I have been to AMD over and over again! To no avail! Help please

    I don't beleive Windows XP needs drivers for Athlon CPU's. But if you go to AMD then under Suport click Utilities & drivers and under athlon amd athlon xp etc click on amd processors utilities and updates; there are some neat utilities. Also there are updates for amd chip sets here which may be needed for Windows XP, though Service pack 2 may not need the updates (I am not sure)

    OOPS made a booboo. Should have directed you to the motherboard for any patches. I just had to reload XP from scratch and had to load an updated copy of my mobo LAN driver.

    Come to think of it I believe my Laptop (that I sold) had an entry in the BIOS for power now option. BYE
