I am trying to build a new pc but can't decide between these 2 cpu:

    AMD Spec:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185125 ( because no stock cpu cooler)
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103289 (CPU)
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138105 (Motherboard)

    Intel Spec:
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037 (CPU)
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131329 (motherboard) <-- not too sure u can change if u want but make sure it fits ram ddr 1066 and FSB speed of 1333

Both will be using the same CASE, Power supply, and RAM, video card:
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021 (CASE)
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341002 (Power supply)
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227178 (RAM) <-- maybe x2 HEHEHEHE
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121272 (video card)

I don't know much about processor but isn't the AMD only 200mhz slower ,
    why is it much cheaper?
what is the big difference?(other then getting a after market cooling for the AMD)
    What would you recommend?
    Any suggestion on the build?
is new egg reliable, i heard they are pretty good on delivery times
First time building it from ground up, any suggestion would help, TY=) hopefully could get it running before Christmas.

hi good luck with building your pc, a core 2 duo (e8400) are very fast cards and it would take a very fast AMD card to beat it they also run alot cooler and have a lower power consumption so if your going to get a cpu defiantly the e8400
and yes newegg are very reliable

AMD's are always superior. They tend to run smoother than Intel Processors. Not to mention that they are real x64 architechture as opposed to Intel's pseudo-64 bit.

I have decide to go with AMD. ( so much cheaper lol)

I'll give it a try, even though i am a lintel person.

Hopefully everything will run great, if not back to Intel haha

Last I heard AMD has FSB on chip, my preference, especially for notebook or laptop. Good to give #1 a reason to try harder also. LOL, heard AMD ran cooler, oh well, as long as it is serviceable and has enough bang for your buck. Hope everything works out, I've done rebuilds, no stomach or resources for a from the ground up yet.

Not to go too far off topic but complete builds aren't that expensive anymore.
