American To European

Hey I'm just back from the US
While there I bhought a laptop, router and wireless rechargeable mouse.
I know the laptops fine for plugging in to european outlets. But the other two are not! So I'm just wondering what exacly I have to do, because I don't want to blow them!

The power details for the router are:
Class 2 power supply
Input: 120VAC 60 Hz 25W
Output: 12VDC 1.0A
The mouse:
Class 2 power supply
Input: 120VAC 60Hz 7.0W
Output: 5VDC 500mA

My buddy reckons all I need is a plug that outputs 12 and 5 V and I ignore the cables I recieved with the appliances. He says he got a roter in America and thats what he did and it works fine. Something like this http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=MG81C&DOY=5m8

Yup that should be fine (maplin's a brilliant place!) just make sure you're giving it the right input voltage.

 

So the wattage doesnt matter? The output wattage of those adapters is actually lower than the output of the transformers that came with the appliances. I suppose a lower wattage wont do any damage?

 

Actually I ment current not wattage. Because the router takes 1 amp and the plug outputs 300 mAmps. I got the plug and tried it, doesn't work for the router but the mouse seems to be ok although i have to wait to see if the batteries chagre
