Americas Army 2.0 released

New Americas Army 2.0: Special Forces has been released.

Graphics are excellent, new maps RAWK. Special Forces training is rather difficult though.

yah.. on SF map where you have to go low and slow, I get to the bridge just before B and I get caught.. the mofo is standing on the bridge and I can't possibly go any slower or get any lower.

 

okay i tried the first America's army game and trying to get the expert sniper award drove me absolutely nuts... always missed it by 1 target.... is the new one any less aggravating???

 

haven't tried the sniper training in 2.0... but they did a really good job on revamping the game..

 

AA:O is really good, one of the best games ive played in a long time due to its realism and the requirements of training to actually qualify for the better jobs. As far as the SF escape and evade training goes pm and I can give ya some help or pointers.

No prob just be aware it takes a decent amount of time to finish that training

 

If only I could find a server that will transfer at over 4kb/s. 651MB will take way too long at that speed.

It took awhile to get into the server because of their user cap however when i did get in (or flashget tried until i got in) I got a d/l of about 560kbs which is decent. Hope that helps

 

Any pointers you want to send me on completing the SF training would be great. I tried the first one the other day on my lunch break and failed twice LOL.

 

Without getting too specific the best way to do the training is very slow, I never once crouched or stood up, fast/slow crawl the entire way and stick close to every ridge, never move into the middle. If you hear someone shout something freeze and dont move until they say something again. Also incase you didnt know hit the shift key to switch between fast and slow modes you'll see your gui character (bottom right) have motion blur behind him if your in fast mode. If you need more help PM me because I dont want to post a spoiler for anyone

 

Haven't made it taht far. I have to get past the vehicle recognition test first LOL.

 

I scored 100% first time around.. slacker!!!

 

I cant get past the very first training.

The game asks to list it in my whatever tracker, then tries to connect, then goes back to mission selection of game and the mouse stops working, then the game itself...


Bleh.


I have to alt-tab and close it everytime.

Any way to skip training?

 

sounds like you need to open the auth server port for AA...

if after you complete a training and you want to save your stats, then yes, you need to login to their auth sever so it can update your profile.

Well its working now that I opened the port, but it doesnt give me the option to NOT save my stats

 

man, I cannot get to checkpoint B...have tried tothe right of the bridge, have tried to the left....now trying across...

 

Downloaded this last night, and spent part of the day getting my cert's... finished Basic, got my Airborne wings and now am finishing the Medical training. Gonna see if I can get into Adv. Marksmanship next If you guys are gonna get together on a server later, someone lemme know
